Some Bristol Loving!

I am having a rare weekend at home with absolutely no plans, no Indy and no Jon, just me and Wilf the dog and a completely free and open weekend!  I wonder if you can feel across the web ether how wonderful this feels!!!!  Though of course I love my boys, it is easy to forget how exhausted you can become and how much a little spaciousness from time to time is needed.  I have been in my pijamas a great deal i have to admit... but i have also done some happy pooh bear tiddly pom kind of wanderings with Wilf... tripping over loveliness all over this fab city.  Every now and then Jon and I have the 'shall we move to the countyside?!' chat and we explore that for a bit and then realise how much we love this place and i am really feeling that today.  This weekend has been all bout rejuvinating, relaxing, being treaty and even a little indulgent... And with no plans at all, I have walked through the green ferny wilderness of Paradise Bottom munching almond and chocolate brownies and drinking Kombucha from Chandos, wandered round Brackenwood Garden Centre and bought a passion fruit vine for the garden, tripped over a street party up the hill from our home, with the smell of BBQ and the sound of strumming guitars, eaten cheese toasties at Pickle in the underfall yard surrounded by old boats, sung deep and special songs with a group of amazing women in The WIld Goose Space and hidden away with my book at the special roof top garden of The Primrose Cafe.... I wonder what today will bring... so far it has been a spoke and stringer inspired breakfast at home of eggy bread, avocado and harissa with halumi cheese and a cup of tea in bed with WIlf (don't tell jon that wilf's on the bed!)  Not a bad start but time to get out and about as I can feel wilf's puppy dog 'take me for a walk' eyes on me... it is time for another pooh bear wander or perhaps a cycle ride today... Just as i sign off from this blog and finish my tea, I have taken a  quick look at Bristol 24/7 for some inspiration and there on the front page  is my friend Gem talking about her favourite haunts...so that is definitely worth checking out!  Here is to another day of auntumn bimbling. xxx  https://www.bristol247.com/news-and-features/people/bristol-favourites-gemma-thorogood/
